Stephen Pale

Stephen Pale is a guitarist, bassist and pianist from Marlton, NJ. He started in music by teaching himself how to play guitar, but in high school started foraying into jazz bass. Stephen finished his undergraduate at William Paterson University in 2019, with a degree in Jazz Bass Performance. He studied under Marcus McLaurine, Steve LaSpina, Aaron Goldberg, Bill Charlap, and many others.

In music, Stephen has a lot of influences, ranging from guitar greats such as Eric Gales and Marty Friedman, to jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Paul Chambers, to modern acts such as Charli XCX and Kaytranada.

Aside from being a multi-instrumentalist, Stephen is also a producer, having written music for animated videos, and frequently experiments with sound design and recording. Stephen has been fortunate enough to travel abroad with his music, having taught jazz basics to high school and college students, and touring internationally playing guitar.

Stephen teaches guitar, electric and upright bassees, and piano, drawing from a wide range of influences such as jazz, rock, R&B, and contemporary pop. Currently he performs with indie rock band The Neverends, based in NYC, and with many other groups locally in New Jersey.
